Founded by visionary entrepreneur and medical practitioner,Dr Krina K Patel, the Haribhai Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Surat. Since its inception, the Foundation has been working towards identifying the needs of patients suffering from cancer and providing them with critical comprehensive clinical support to improve their quality of life.
Recognizing the disparity in the availability, accessibility and affordability of cancer care among those economically disadvantaged, the Foundation aims to provide monetary and clinical assistance, strengthen existing cancer treatment facilities, provide qualitative palliative care and on a larger scale raise awareness on prevention and early detection of cancer.
Launched on January 27,2017 in memory of Shri Haribhai Cancer foundation, the Foundation was inaugurated by Dr Krina and Dr Kaushal Patel in the presence of eminent guests and friends and family.
To improve the lives of people living with cancer by providing a positive, Happy healing center and support them on their cancer journey.
To provide a comfortable and a restful place where cancer patients can spend the day – especially if all family members are working and there is no one to look after them at home, without having to give up a job
To provide a center where patients can feel comforted in the care of compassionate medically trained professionals, including counselors, and also a place where they can simultaneously bond with others in the same condition and be HAPPY
To provide respite for the care giver – an important player in effective end-of-life care – who must be given some time off so that she/he can provide quality care after the respite.
To help the patient to respond better to the treatment he/she is receiving and eventually have a better prognosis
To navigate the emotional side of a diagnosis; find targeted, individualized programs; and provide resources to smooth the journey through cancer.
Formulate a professional plan of care to relieve suffering in all areas of a patient’s life involving physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists.
Through this multidisciplinary approach, we seek to address physical, emotional, spiritual and social concerns that arise with advanced stage cancer.
